It gets tiring to repeat yourself for self promotion so I do it less than I should, but today I have a convenient excuse to say that The Banished Vault is on its largest discount yet of 20% off!

Buying it nets you in my self-estimation a challenging and rewarding game about space travel, religion, and mathematics; and directly supports us in continuing to make more interesting games. That said, it's not for everyone! If you fall into that category I won't hold it against you, but I would appreciate you telling someone in your life who would enjoy it – someone who enjoys puzzles and math would probably like it!

If you have already purchased it, I really appreciate and would only ask one more additional task: give it a positive review. I like hearing nice words about the things I spend years of my life on, it helps balance out the occasional uncharitable negative reviews we get, and it pleases the algorithm.

Anyway, thanks!

The part everyone keeps screenshotting from the nanowrimo post about AI is bad, but I feel like the most bizarre quote comes right after:

Classism. Not all writers have the financial ability to hire humans to help at certain phases of their writing. For some writers, the decision to use AI is a practical, not an ideological, one. The financial ability to engage a human for feedback and review assumes a level of privilege that not all community members possess.

This is nanowrimo?? Look, I've never done nanowrimo myself, but the idea that everyone is hiring proofreaders for their nanowrimo projects just seems completely and utterly out of touch with what their actual community even is. I don't understand how this would ever even occur to anyone, even knowing how far they had to stretch to justify this.
